Ok, nothing special, no canned-on date.
MY FAIR MAIDEN™ MAIDEN GRASS
S: Moderate aromas of orange citrus and mangos are present in the nose. T: The taste follows the smell and is very citrusy and has lots of flavors of oranges with hints of mangos. There is a light amount of bitterness. M: It feels just about medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. Looks good, but missing bold hop flavour. Fresh can from Premier Gourmet.
Gets by for a lunch. Case in point, Foley Bros. I'll drink to that!
Pours a nice, bright golden color with a vivacious head of full white foam that lasts and lasts. Incredible lace here with a lot of drippy stylings and superb legs. The surface itself is crowded with swaths of suds as well, giving this a really nice look. One of my favorite IPA pours in a while. It has kind of a medium-heavy haze to it with a very "Vermont" approach to lack of filtration.
I mean, the old-school Heady Topper-ness is all over this one I really like the balance struck here and feel it kind of operates in a "pre-NEIPA" vein that defines itself by big and bold complex elements instead of pure juiciness. I've always liked Fair Maiden, but have never really sat down with the beer to consider it critically, and I feel like I've probably been a little wrong about it.
I get a little bit of chalky, aspirin-y yeast here too along with some citrus rind and peel.

Pretty great stuff! Now, unfortunately, the way this drinks is kind of the biggest issue I have with it, which is very unfortunate as Fair Maiden is superficially a great damn beer. The flavor profile leaves something to be desired, though. It starts off big and chewy with equal parts grainy drag and slightly spicy hops, following through with pine and grapefruit notes, but the body just seems off and the way it finishes is a bit overly-malty. Each sip feels a little underwhelming for some reason; perhaps an attenuation issue or something?
I just want a bit more tropical fruit and dankness to coalesce in each sip, but the finish kinda peters out beforehand, leaving me unsatisfied. A bit creamy on the palate with some prickly carbonation. Definitely a little heavier than normal, which really does give the impression I'm drinking a bigger beer. As mentioned, though, the disappointingly lackluster flavor profile and, by extension, the curtailed finish leave this feeling a little under where the average for this is on BA.
Also, this can isn't dated, which is just silly for a brewery telling me to "drink fresh. I'm pretty sure it was canned within the last month, but that's really not good enough.

I'd like to pick up some more of this in the future as well as other stuff from them, because when FB is on, they're on! It's and you're well-known for your IPAs. Aroma is nice and citrusy but a little muted. Taste is kinda more traditional IPA, with balancing bitter, missing in body as well for a 8.
Similar taste with a pleasant medium body malt behind it. Bitterness kicks in midway through and lingers in the finish. Feel is soft.
This is pretty damn good. Cloudy but not murky or opaque. Aroma is citrus, rind, pine and an earthy spiciness. Sharp, crisp aroma of citrus and dank pakalolo. Wonderful aroma. Taste is right there with slightly sweet and crisp citrus - orange, pineapple, mango - bushy pine; green leafy hops all the way. Slightly sweet toasted cracker malt beneath it all.
Crisp, dry and damn tasty. Perfectly bitter for my tastes. Peter H. Peter H Spinning this now on my turntable.
